Will you be in the sunshine or sulking in the shade

Did they ask you to play or rained on your parade

Are you on the school team or you never get picked

were you originally promised playing time then tricked

Do you feel so alone and never in the right crowd?

Is standing up for yourself never once allowed?

Do you sit on the sideline and openly mope?

Is there more disappointment and not much real hope?

Are you sitting on the bench as if in suspension?

Each cheering on the stud but you got no attention?

Does any body talk or are you in isolation?

These must not be happy days that lack assimilation?

Do you feel in classroom there are no friends or allies?

And that by talking up you may get two black eyes

Is the promised road to your success always blocked?

Is your attempt to fit in almost always mocked?

Is your father often denied the pride of other dads?

As you sit there sulking in expensive togs and pads?

Maybe the time has come when you should no more suffer?

Maybe you should visit the gym and become tougher?

Maybe you should hit the road for exercise at dawn?

Then head to sparring classes and put on some brawn?

Then one day tell the bullies you will no longer be cowed

And that the bullying will no longer be allowed

And you will for the first time stand on your own two feet

And never more will you be embarrassed by defeat
