P J Neville came from Ireland in the days of sterling
With a love of Cork and Ireland's football and hurling
Many Sundays he played in O'Donnell's Bronx Gaelic Park
According to legend he was no easy man to mark
He spoke of the great games he attended on vacation
Picking Jack Lynch and Christy Ring for special notation
Christy Ring's athleticism he was ready to discuss
You can not live on hurling so he drove a New York bus
Still for Pat as I called him God had a big master plan
He caught the eye of a cute blond and fell for Mary Anne
The love they had for each other can never be compared
There were very few who on earth were so perfectly paired
The love they had for each other could be seen in their eyes
They always treated each other like they had won first prize
To see them dancing weekly I really was intrigued
They would dance till early morning until they were fatigued
Great love she showed for him as his health became impacted
Pat was her life mission and she never was distracted

This year flock of wild birds fly so free
In the leafless branches of the tree
While we are all frightened to be grouped
For a change it is us who are cooped

The rabbit in the field is hopping
But we are afraid to go shopping
We worry about young and the aged
We alas are the ones who are caged

The bee awakens and will survive
As she again tries to stock her hive
She sure is being altruistic
Never known to be narcissistic
The worst that ever has mutated
We have medicine that's outdated

We depend on the local grocer
As annual spring days grow closer
For soapy bars to keep our hands clean
As the old dead grass starts turning green

So called smart people doubted science
And responded with deadly silence
Also patting them self on the back
Midst the virus's continued attack
The worst that ever has mutated
We have medicine that's outdated

We were not too well prepared alas
It's no safer for poor or high class
Normal action in forest and field
While us the humans are self concealed

For us now there is no guarantee
As we're infested by land and sea
The worst that ever has mutated
We have medicine that's outdated

The Virus©2020TonyFallon0320

The Virus©2020TonyFallon0320

I'm locked up in my little apartment afraid to go out
I am praying to be safe I'm becoming very devout
People and computer by viruses are now infected
I think I've a flu shot and my computer is protected
I am constantly gargling and I'm always washing my hands
And every half an hour I run my McAfee computer scans
They call it nineteen and from animals it has mutated
I wonder could it jump from my computer Oh I hate it
I'm staying in touch with friends daily by phone and on Face Book
And when I'm eating chicken or pork I often over cook
But raw pork and chicken cutlets have viruses of their own
That leads to more hand washes I am almost down to the bone
I stocked up with food in my new king size refrigerator
I have a hundred bottles of drinks made by Mr. Gator
The virus is named Corona so I threw out all their beers
My friends say I am irrational they are not dumping theirs
I went to the supermarket and bought many king size packs
Of toilet rolls and towels there's nothing left but empty racks
I am buying packets of green vegetable and fruit seeds
I am going back to natural for all my fresh food needs
I bough a bottle of mouthwash so I can hourly gargle
I've brushed my few teeth so often daily they nearly sparkle
I bought multi supplements of iron and vitamin c
I know you are only supposed to take one, butI take three
When there is a virus raging you can not be too cautious
They says it happens suddenly you don't even get nauseous
Of my regular prescriptions I now have ninety days stashed
I upped them because the usual thirty days goes so fast
I am sucking a bag of lozenges to keep my throat moist
On The radio station broadcast I want to be full voiced

You see pictures in the Daily News and in The Post
Of what is happening daily here on the East Coast
They changed the laws so a criminal now gets his rights
No more can he be held unless after deadly fights
There is little thought of the trauma of the victim
Who goes home scared a true sacrifice to the system
He is all alone with no lawyer being assigned
Then has to walk out of court the perp five feet behind
The case could go on for weeks without resolution
For the victim's shoes there will be no restitution
The Judge is almost powerless now he can't set bail
For people being released who should be locked in jail
Liberties Union doesn’t care they are getting paid
The taxpayers foot all the bills for free Legal Aid
All the town streets are filled with loads of prescription pills
And all kinds of street drugs including cocaine and meth
which are well known to doctors as the agents of death
And when the deal goes wrong it is then the pusher kills
The ones pumping the deadly bullets they are depraved
The saddest thing a mother hears "he could not be saved"

I am now far away from Ireland the land where I was reared
While all around me are acting sedate I am really scared
The world's people are afraid of this virus being transferred
Many colleges are closed so diplomas will be deferred

In places they won't play a match or march in any parade
Some people will not travel on a ship they are too afraid
Experts have different opinions even those with degrees
Some treat it like a cough to others it's a deadly disease

If we say it's worse than the plague we are being divisive
But I'm in the majority when I call my death decisive
It seems all over the world poor people are dropping like flies
We don't know who is telling the truth or who's telling us lies

TheFlu(C)2020TonyFallon0306

TheFlu(C)2020TonyFallon0306

I have loved you for a long time and I probably always will,
But you've been sneezing so much lately I think you're becoming ill
No matter how often I warn you, you don't take me serious
When I tell you they're exporting from China an awful virus
Governor Cuomo is panicking in the big state of New York
There are cases in Dublin City but it hasn't got down to Cork
You won't even wear a mask you are lacking consideration
I'll be a laughing stock if I am locked up in isolation
All over the world this potential plague is being debated
And you do not give a damn if I should get contaminated
It spreads to everybody it may have even attacked the Pope
So I'm going to the store to buy Lysol and Ivory soap
They say the best way to fight it is to frequently wash your hands
Because if it gets into your lungs it'll quickly spread to you glands
Should the flu get a foothold in Befast it will quickly spread south
So if you hear any coughing up north quickly cover your mouth
