Shakespeare didn't have to leave home when he was a kid
He wrote and wrote for days on end and made it big at home
He never learned Spanish so he couldn't go to Madrid
He was no better at Italian or Latin so he couldn't go to Rome
Some didn't understand his sonnetts others disliked his plays
While others didn't like Tony and Cleopatra boating on the Nile
Some of his contemporaries hated how he could turn a phase
I'm sure others thought him a heretic and wanted him on trial
