Politically I'm in the middle of the road

And far too many people know it

I could be run over by left or right

Without sympathy fom black or white

So there are many with whom I agree

But definitely not Trump or AOC

Today such thinking is not allowed

You must belong to just one crowd

I don't consider I'm on the liberal line

Being conservative is hard to define

I make decisions as incidents arise

Which often leads to some harsh criticize

This often leads to criticism of my brain

And many of my acquaintances complain

Even today in today's religion

There is far too much division

Pastors living the life of a king

Less interested in your soul than bling

Accumulating great wealth tax free

With at best a questionable degree

The invisible line is no longer straight

Dividing the Church from the State

Church supported politicians is unwise

Can lead to a nations demise

No lesson learned at Watergate

We have harder hearts much more hate

Some take pride in illegal leaks

So what if the opposite squeaks?

If you get away it's no crime

May even be treated as sublime

i believe in warming but not polluting

I disagree with shooting and looting

Too many Karens are irate

No down time for honest debate

You may rant and think you have beaten

A wise person who thinks you are a cretin

You can't convince a person against their will

They will be of the same opinion still
