Sometimes I believe something I shouldn't believe
And wind up fooling myself
Sometimes I'm far too trusting and do not perceive
That half of the world is rotten
When God was giving out trust he gave me a big share
Which I often regret
Because anticipated happy days wind up in despair
And then I only regret more
