At the kitchen table I have no appetite
I’m weary for I’ve had a sleepless night
During sleep I had this troubling dream
Where I was running but ran out of steam
There was a rainbow and a pot of gold
I could not run fast enough for I am too old
I gave it my best effort so there’s no disgrace
I have to realize you can’t win every race.
