wish I could give you a hug
but we are not allowed so near
You would be content I'd be snug
This has to be the strangest year
The year of the Corona bug
It was supposed to be the rat
We do not have a curing drug
They say it crossed over from a bat
This old world now is full of fear
In science and medical combat
Trying to save our only sphere
While others glory in bombast
We don't know when it will disappear
Or if we can ever hug once more
Will this be the new world frontier?
Or will our lives reset and restore?
So we must do things we don't expect
Wearing masks is considered formal
Washing hands twenty times is correct
Oh how I wish this world was normal
