There's hardly any traffic on the old twenty three route
Daddy's at home every day he does not have to commute
So many young school age children are here in great supply
So many are out there playing you'd think it was July

But it is just past mid April and outside there is snow
And the boiler in the basement is burning up my dough
It not real good weather it is exceedingly cold
The children will have some stories to tell when they are old

We are not citified it is not hard to find ranchers
It is great apple country with so many new planters
Many greens for our Cairo tables here will be growing 
And early in the morning you will hear roosters crowing

With many less cars on the street the clean air will increase
If you don't wear a mask all days you'll hear from the police
You must often wash your hands and cover them with plastic
Many who do not agree can be very sarcastic

At the local market you can shop in one direction
And there's no bounty of products in many a section
While politicians just think of the coming election
the old and the poor are dying from this strange infection
