Mother's Day has come and gone
And it does no good to brood
You have to wash dirty dishes
And prepare the family’sfood
It is back to cleaningwindows
And the carpet in every room
Before you do any of that
Change the bag in the vacuum
When you visit all the bedrooms
And pick up all your kids attire
There will be loads of dirty linens
For the washer and the dryer
As you gaze into the mirror
At graying hair that is uncurled
You can't forget the card that said
"The greatest Mommy in the world
