New babies are the cutest creatures put on this the earth
And loved by many people who did not give them birth
The Grandparents are usually the leaders of this squad
They don’t have stay all night Thanks’ be to God
I often think that grandpa is somehow enjoying
When his grandchild is his new father annoying
They’ve had enough of nightly feeding and screaming
And can enjoy angelic smiles when the baby is dreaming
Adults stick out their tongues and otherwise act so juvenile
But the baby doesn’t think that’s funny so he will smile
There’s so much cooing and clucking the baby can not nap
But there are not many helping hands when there’s a mishap
It’s then they will lose interest a problem they can’t decipher
All will be yelling “Mommy the baby needs a new diaper”
