When you find a little bird with a broken wing
to try to fix it is the proper thing
When the wing is healed you must not cling
Release it to the wild and let it sing
You did not own it from the beginning
To keep it in a cage you’d be sinning
to keep it as a prisoner is so wrong
let it go free to sing its own sweet song
It can not be cloned
It can not be freely owned
For it will not willingly stay
If you open the cage it will fly away
