In this world there are many games of war
Sometimes all the players don’t know the score
They don’t know when the conflict starts
And all may wind up with broken hearts
Paul loved Mary but Mary loved John
Mary was a lovely girl barely twenty one
Paul often had to stay home and cool his heels
While the other two dined out on fancy meals
She may not have known how to untangle
From this really delightful love triangle
The bickering became too much of an ordeal
So John joined the navy and became a navy seal
Paul now felt that Mary had been too conceited
And was not happy with the way he had been treated
It’s strange how humans compete to be picked
And lose all interest when there’s no conflict
Now Mary walks the streets missing the attention
John says he’s staying in until he gets a pension
