We don’t want bullets and blood
From people who are misunderstood
We don’t want spilled blood on school stairs
We don’t want flowers and prayers
We don’t want dead children’s bodies on a school floor
Enough is enough no more no more
Must we become a nation of guns?
Used for practice on little ones
This is not the comics where you can be killed by a sword
And one minute later life is magically restored
The young lives are ended once blood is shed
And flowers and prayers won’t bring back the dead.
We must ensure there are no more repeats
Even if we have to go out and protest in the streets
