I’ve been in a hole since you left you might as well fill it in
Even if you came back tomorrow I wouldn’t get out again
As you sidled up to me I had a feeling you were crabby
And I suggested you write to Ann Landers or Dear Abbey
When you said I should grow up I began to have a doubt
And I suggested you move in another direction that was out
I wanted to change my life I was ready for a new start
You may be on my conscience but no longer in my heart
I do admit I miss the complaints and your constant moan
I’m so glad you have left me even if I now am all alone
I don’t miss your accusations or your nasty threats
I’m now in the market for another woman with no regrets
