Alas, alas the Dukes don’t fight
Nor Kaisers either day or night
Hitler didn’t go out with a brigade
He never faced a rifle or grenade
War is so easily declared
By the rich who are not scared
They and their family will be deferred
To engages us they are not deterred
If they shot the leaders instead of fine young men
We would never have a world war again
It doesn’t change from war to war
The next will be as it was before
There will be far less youth in army boots
When the rich have to settle their own disputes
The poppy grows for farmers sons
Young boys shot down by monster guns
