The Wind©2019Tony Fallon0102
The wind blew down the mountain
Then blew up our little street
It caused ice in the fountain
Blew dead leaves across the seat
It made dark waves on the creek
Bent the bushes in the lawn
It froze both my nose and cheek
Our curtains are tightly drawn
It opened up my front door
Sounded the alarm device
Spread dead leaves across the floor
It must have frightened the mice
It certainly scared the cat
Because he rapidly fled
I found him later growling
In a ball beneath my bed
Then blew up our little street
It caused ice in the fountain
Blew dead leaves across the seat
It made dark waves on the creek
Bent the bushes in the lawn
It froze both my nose and cheek
Our curtains are tightly drawn
It opened up my front door
Sounded the alarm device
Spread dead leaves across the floor
It must have frightened the mice
It certainly scared the cat
Because he rapidly fled
I found him later growling
In a ball beneath my bed
