Breaking up is not too hard © Tony Fallon 2016.

You told me at your job the others you couldn’t, please
Even if you kissed a certain place down on your knees
Do you often talk down to them and act as if you are cross?
Expecting them to jump to attention because you’re the boss
Do you often tell outright lies instead of the truth?
Do you swear and are accused of being uncouth
Are you often full of alcohol and considered a sod?
Are you more the agent of the devil than an angel of God?
Are the jokes you tell them often obscene and a little lewd?
Do people tell you bluntly to adjust your attitude?
Do you make decisions at work without consulting?
Do your co-workers find this unfair and insulting?
Is there anyone in there with which you haven’t disagreed?
That might be why in the parking lot your car is often keyed.
Are you the kind of employee who is always causing friction?
Like the witches and mothers in laws in fairy tales and fiction
If there is trouble in the office one day do you act so smart?
Is a picture of your face on the board when they throw a dart?
Are your long-term suggestions and ideas often ignored?
Were you ever employee of the month on the bulletin board?
When someone’s boyfriend was visiting did you try to flirt?
Or casually walk down the corridor in your little mini skirt?
After a tirade do you think when you leave the room?
They may be suggesting they take up a collection for a broom
Do you treat your family this way too when you’re at home?
Or is this kind of bad attitude just an at work syndrome?
Must the world come to a stop if you can’t find your boots?
With the rest of the family are you always in disputes.
If you were a man I’d say you had two things made of brass
I don’t think I want to marry you, you’d be a pain in the ass.
