I wish I had © Tony Fallon030917

I wish I had you here this moment
Someone to call me her own
Someone to dream with me nightly
I’m weary of dreaming alone
Remember our last night together
Your leaving was breaking my heart
You said we’d be bonded together
Though we would be far apart
I fancy we walk on the hillside
In the evening just before dark
Away from the hustle and bustle
Right here in Olana State Park
We will sit there in the waning sunlight
In May or maybe in June
I have so many things to tell you
I’ll tell them with a new moon
I wish we could meet here more often
You know I can’t stand the cold
You can handle the Canadian weather
For you are just forty years old
I wish I had the wings of a phoenix
I would fly right over the border
Right to the arms of you love
And my life would be back in order
I wish I had you here this moment
Someone to call me her own
Someone to dream with me nightly

I’m weary of dreaming alone
