The Weather

In all my
years I never remember
Weather like
we got this September
Into October
we already had ten days
And you can
go outside and get some rays
This weather
is even better than it was in Spring
Everybody is
worried that the wasps will sting
I saw little
birds in a puddle in front of the school
They were
treating the puddle like a birdie pool
Some birds
were singing in the trees
Its 84
outside with a southerly breeze
Some were
gathering twigs and starting a nest
Others were
standing on a branch taking a rest
The working
birds wanted help which was being refused
The weather
is so warm birds are slightly confused
Meanwhile
the cat patiently washes his paws
Dreaming of
a meal falling into his jaws.
