Driving
myself crazy © Tony Fallon 112917
Often when
I’m at home
I think of
writing a tome
One that may be as good as a master
But it could
also be a disaster
It might
ruin my career
So I won’t
volunteer
Unless the
offer is enhanced
And money is
advanced
Which I
won’t have to repay
Once the
project gets underway
Don’t you
think it’s bizarre?
When you’re
driving the car
Those smart
words in my brain
Somehow I can't retain
They were so
divine
I nearly
blew the stop sign
And the cop hiding
behind the pine
I would have
gotten points and a fine
I went home and and started to compose
A few
intelligent, pieces of prose.
