I Love You © Tony Fallon2016
I love you more than you’ll ever know
When you are around me I’m all aglow
You know I love you but from afar
And think about you when I play guitar
We never made promises we couldn’t keep
You are the last person I think of before I sleep
Your smiling picture I can’t overlook
It’s there every morning on Face book
There are pictures of where we’ve been
And wonderful places that we’ve seen
Of us together on a Catskill mountain top
Or picking sunflowers from my sunflower crop
Remembering fun things said without warning
Discussing elections at two in the morning
You listening patiently to my old Irish tales
Finding treasure together at Garage Sales
In the hospital I dreamed you were a nurse
You told me in the dream I would not get worse
Nurses say I repeated your name over and over
And after that magically started to recover
I have street smarts you have class and style
We can do anything we are so versatile
There are no egos we don’t compete
We are practically one person complete
With nobody else I’ve had this kind of rapport
I wish you would come back and move in next door
